Sound Redesign - Kara no Kyoukai - 2023

In this sound redesign, I reimagined a scene from ''Kara no Kyoukai'' (Ep. 1, 07:50–09:24), enhancing its dark, psychological tone with an original audio track. I layered drone atmospheres, metallic impacts, and haunting piano to deepen the sense of horror, melancholy, and tension. Realistic foley (footsteps, police siren, puppy whimpering) was added to ground the scene, while reverb, spatial effects, and transient shaping created an immersive and suspenseful sonic experience. Inspired by the emotional world of the anime, my aim was to heighten anticipation and confront the viewer with the scene’s emotional intensity.

Field Recording & Sound-Based Visual Collaboration- 2023, 2024

For these two audiovisual pieces, I explored natural and cultural environments, recording a variety of raw ambient sounds, textures, and details. I then sampled and composed audio tracks from these materials — blending environmental sounds with artistic editing and effects. In collaboration with filmmaker Elie Matar, we paired these compositions with visuals shot on location, creating a dialogue between sounds and visuals. The result is a sensorial experience where recorded reality becomes expressive narrative.

Halloween Flyer – Sound Design- 2023

For this short Halloween visual, I created a full original sound design to heighten its eerie and atmospheric impact. Using layered ambient drones, glitch elements, and sudden stingers. The soundscape was tailored frame by frame to match the motion and visual cues — enhancing the funky horror aesthetic through sound production and design.

Cognitive Diving – Sound Story Design - 2022

My first audio project, Cognitive Diving, is a short experimental narrative built entirely from sampled audio and structured around a sonic journey. It tells the story of a digital being — part machine, part spirit — diving into deep water, facing moments of tension and transformation, and finally resurfacing altered by the experience. The track is composed through sample manipulation, rhythmic deconstruction, and textural layering. I crafted a sense of descent and immersion using. In the darker middle section, sharp transients and distorted elements convey internal struggle, while the final part resolves with wide spatial imaging and subtle harmonic overtones to express emotional release. This piece was also accompanied by visuals, enhancing the storytelling through synchronized abstract imagery and motion design — merging audio and visuals into a meditative short film.

Sound Redesign – Wednesday Addams Opening Shot (Dolby Atmos | 5.1 Surround) - 2024

In this project, I reimagined the sound design for the opening shot focusing on enhancing the eerie, cinematic tension through immersive spatial audio. Using a Dolby Atmos setup with 5.1 surround, I sculpted a layered soundscape that follows the camera movement and emotional pacing of the scene. Key elements include: -Atmospheric spatialization: Surround panning of ambient textures and reverbs to place the viewer inside the eerie environment. -Detailed Foley work: Footsteps, fabric, and subtle environmental cues placed directionally across the surround field for realism and tension. -Transient shaping & dynamic range: Accents and stingers were shaped to heighten suspense, using dynamic contrast between center, L-R, and rear speakers. -Musical elements: Minimal melodic motifs and drones integrated into the rear and height channels to evoke unease and emotional buildup without crowding the dialogue zone.
